    Passive Therapies / Therapeutic Modalities

Passive therapies, also known as therapeutic modalities, are treatments where the patient remains relaxed and receives care without actively participating in movement. These are commonly used in chiropractic and physical therapy settings to manage pain, reduce inflammation, and prepare the body for more active rehabilitation.

    Shockwave Therapy

Shockwave Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-energy sound waves to stimulate healing in injured or painful tissues. It’s especially effective for chronic musculoskeletal conditions like plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow, shoulder tendinitis, and
lingering joint pain. The therapy works by delivering acoustic pulses through the skin to the affected area, which helps increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and trigger the body’s natural repair mechanisms.

    Kinesiology Taping

Kinesiology taping is a therapeutic technique that involves applying a flexible, adhesive tape to the skin to support muscles and joints without restricting movement. It helps stabilize injured areas, reduce pain and swelling, and improve circulation by gently lifting the skin to create space between tissue layers. This lifting effect can also enhance lymphatic drainage and relieve pressure on pain receptors. Additionally, the tape may improve proprioception, or body awareness, which can aid in muscle coordination and recovery. Commonly used by athletes and in rehabilitation settings, kinesiology taping is a non-invasive way to support healing while maintaining mobility.

    Electrical Muscle Stimulation

Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS) can be a valuable part of recovery for patients who’ve experienced accidents or slip-and-fall injuries. When trauma affects muscles, joints, or nerves, EMS helps by sending gentle electrical impulses through the skin to stimulate muscle contractions. This process improves blood flow, reduces swelling, and prevents muscle atrophy—especially in areas that may be immobilized or painful to move. For patients dealing with back pain, joint stiffness, or soft tissue injuries after a fall, EMS offers a non-invasive way to relieve discomfort and accelerate healing. It also helps reeducate muscles that may have weakened or lost coordination due to injury, making it easier to transition into active rehabilitation exercises later on. Used alongside chiropractic care or physical therapy, EMS supports a smoother, safer recovery process.

    Infrared Light Therapy

Infrared Light Therapy can be especially beneficial for patients recovering from accidents or slip-and-fall injuries. When the body experiences trauma—whether it’s a sprained joint, bruised muscle, or lingering inflammation—infrared light penetrates deep into the tissues to stimulate healing at the cellular level. It boosts circulation, helping deliver oxygen and nutrients to damaged areas while flushing out waste and reducing swelling. This therapy also promotes the release of natural pain-relieving chemicals and relaxes tense muscles, making it easier for patients to move and begin active rehabilitation. For those dealing with stiffness, soreness, or slow recovery after a fall, infrared therapy offers a gentle, noninvasive way to accelerate healing and restore comfort. It’s often used alongside chiropractic adjustments and physical rehab to create a more complete and effective recovery plan.

My mom had her wrist broken and was in so much pain, I was very worried. So I took her to the doctor at Neo Medical Group at once. He examined her hand, and told us that the best solution for an injury now is Joint Reconstruction. The price of this treatment is surprisingly low, and they took good care of my mom there. She feels great and is thankful to your professional doctors.

Wonderful doctor Curtis L. Beauregard. Clearly explains what he can do to improve function and what cannot be done. Easy manner, listens well.

I was treated like a human and not just shuffled thru like most other places. I appreciate the staff greatly. My respects to Dr. Beauregard.

For the last 5 years I had been suffering from acute pain in the elbow. My grandson decided to take me to the trusted doctor to check if it is an injury or what exactly. In Neo Medical Group, they told me that due to my age I have a severe condition which needs to be treated with Arthroscopic Debridgement of the Elbow. And this treatment really helped, I never felt better.

Great Facility!! Amazing staff!! Won’t be disappointed
